A straight rail exactly half the standard length. Use it to fine-tune the length of a loop.
Build with Straight Rails alone and the shapes that close come only in coarse steps. Just one half-length rail greatly widens the range of shapes you can reach.
When that is still not enough, there is the even finer Quarter Straight Rail.
