Rail Parts Catalog
A catalog of all 45 types of Plarail rail, with diagrams drawn to scale from the real parts. The length of a straight, the radius of a curve, the tabs and slots at the ends, how many tiers a slope climbs — what you want to know before laying them out on the floor, part by part.
This is an unofficial fan tool. It is not affiliated with TAKARA TOMY, and the dimensions are not published by the company. Use them as a guide when you build a layout.
Basic7 types
- Straight RailR-01The most ordinary rail of all, and the baseline for every other dimension.
- Half Straight RailR-02A straight rail exactly half the standard length. Use it to fine-tune the length of a loop.
- Double-Length Straight RailR-07
- Quarter Straight RailR-20The go-to fix when a loop won't close. The shortest straight.
- Stop RailR-08
- Realistic Straight RailRL-1
- Eco Straight RailEC-1
Curves8 types
- Curved RailR-03The basic way to turn. Join 8 of them the same way around and you get exactly one loop.
- Double-Radius Curved RailR-21A curve that sweeps wide around the outside of the Curved Rail. It gives you a relaxed, easy turn.
- Double-Track Outer Curved RailR-09
- S-Curve RailR-29A rail that shifts 1 track over to the side while moving forward.
- Maga-RailR-23A rail with many hinges along it, so you can bend it into any shape you like.
- Realistic Curved RailRL-3
- Eco Curved RailEC-3
- 90° Small Curved RailSet exclusive

Piers
They go under the rails to give them height. One Block Pier tier is 66mm, and a Mini Pier is a quarter of that. Heights only come in these steps, so how many slope rails you need follows from them too.
- Block PierJ-1466mm each
- Mini PierJ-1516.5mm each
- Double-Track Block PierJ-2266mm each
Build with these dimensions
Raildraft is a web app for building layouts at exactly the dimensions listed here. It accounts for the free play in every joint, and for slightly forced connections too, so you can check whether the loop closes before you lay it out on the floor.
